
I've been through both sides of acquisitions and conversions — as the buyer and the seller. Writing communications and talking points from each of those perspectives are polar opposites. One has a jubilant, rah-rah feel. The other requires more sensitivity and positive reinforcement. The truly unique aspect of acquisitions is the secrecy involved. From nondisclosure agreements to pulling all-nighters, I've found these to be tornadoes of hard work that come together quickly.
